Monbulk Business Network
Established in 2009, as an initiative of the Monbulk and District Community Opportunities Working Group (MADCOW) and spearheaded by Karen Martin from Mrs Martin's Quilt Shop, the Monbulk Business Network (MBN) has grown quickly to develop a healthy and vibrant network of businesses in the Monbulk area.Over the past twelve months the network, amongst a myriad of other things, has:
- arranged a number of local shopping promotions such as the annual and very successful Merry Monbulk Christmas.
- been involved in some successful lobbying activities with the local council around streetscaping and other opportunites.
- Provided a number of guest speakers throughout the year to enable local business people to interact and discuss community issues with local, state and federal politicians.
- developed a network logo and window decal to identify members.
- produced a network newsletter on a monthly basis to keep members and others informed of activities and intiativies.
